A clogged disposable vape can be a real bother. One moment you’re enjoying a smooth puff, the next you’re struggling to draw. This common issue often happens when e-liquid thickens inside the small airway.
Before you consider it finished, try these simple steps. Many clogs can be cleared quickly, getting your Beco disposable working again.
Give it a gentle tap
Start with the easiest fix. Hold the device with the mouthpiece facing down. Tap it firmly against your palm or a soft surface. The goal is to use gravity and light force to dislodge any pooled liquid blocking the central tube. Do this a few times, then try a slow, gentle draw to see if air flows freely.
Apply soft heat
Thickened liquid is often the cause. Applying a little warmth can thin it out. Carefully roll the device between your hands for a minute or two. The heat from your skin can be enough. Do not use a hair dryer or lighter, as too much heat can damage the battery and parts inside.
Clear the mouthpiece
Sometimes the blockage is right at the top. Use a rolled up, clean paper towel or a cotton swab. Gently insert the tip into the mouthpiece opening to absorb any excess liquid you can reach. A clean toothpick can also be used with care to clear the tiny air channel, but avoid pushing too hard.
Use a strong draw
If the clog is minor, suction might clear it. Cover the small air holes on the side or bottom of the device with your fingers. Then, take a sharp, strong puff directly into the mouthpiece. This can sometimes pull the sticky liquid back through the coil and unblock the pathway. Wipe the mouthpiece clean after.
Store it the right way
Proper storage stops clogs before they start. Keep the device standing upright. Lying it down flat can let liquid flood into the airflow system. Also, avoid very hot or very cold places, like a hot car or a cold pocket outdoors, as temperature changes make the liquid thicken or thin too much.
Know when to stop
If these methods do not work, the device may be truly spent. A burnt taste after clearing a clog often means the wick inside is damaged. Trying to force it can lead to leaks or a bad experience. While it’s good to try a fix, sometimes a clog signals the end of a disposable device’s use.
